Bhubaneswar: The state government today urged Tata group to set up a 400-bed hospital and four placement-linked Industrial Training Centres in the state as part of its corporate social responsibility (CSR). This was conveyed to Tata Son`s deputy Chairman Cyrus Pallonji Mistry who met Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik for the first time here. Mistry also visited Kalinga Nagar area where the company is setting up a 6 MTPA steel plant.

"We have asked them (the company) to set up a 400-bed hospital in Ganjam district and certain placement liked Industrial Training Cetres for local youths," Patnaik told reporters after the hour-long meeting. Patnaik during discussion with Mistry said the company should set up placement linked multi skill development training centres having capacity of taking 1,000 students each at Jajpur, Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar and Ganjam districts.
