Bhubaneswar: It seems the landfall of the 'very severe cyclonic storm' Titli in coastal Odisha and Andhra Pradesh tomorrow morning would be very intense as flight services to and from Bhubaneswar have been cancelled for tomorrow.
As per official sources, five IndiGo flight services from Bhubaneswar have been suspended for tomorrow which were scheduled to fly to Delhi, Kolkata, Bengaluru and Mumbai respectively.
Apart from this, IndiGo has been instructed not to ground the carrier at Bhubaneswar Airport tonight as it will be difficult for the budget carrier to fly back to any of the destinations tomorrow.
Sources claimed the Bhubaneswar airport authorities are bracing themselves in every possible way to tackle the situation.
“Emphasis is being laid on ensuring safety and security of the passengers and the airport. Contingency plans have been made accordingly. Different departmental heads have also been instructed and alerted about the emergency situation while changes may be made in the flight schedule as per the situation,” said Biju Patnaik International Airport Director, Suresh Chandra Hota this morning.
Earlier today, the East Coast Railway (ECoR) suspended train services from Khurda Road in Odisha to Vizianagaram in Andhra Pradesh in both directions after 2200hrs (10.00pm) tonight in view of Titli. The instruction will be carried out till further orders.

According to information given by the Railways, the up-trains from Howrah/Kharagpur side to southern destinations will not be allowed in ECoR jurisdiction, i.e., from Bhadrak after 1715hrs (05.15pm) today till further orders.
Down-trains from Hyderabad/Visakhapatnam side to north will not be allowed from Duvvada (Visakhapatnam) after 1840hrs (06.40pm) today till next directives.
Long distance trains supposed to pass through ECoR jurisdiction between Khurda Road and Vizianagaram, i.e. in Howrah-Chennai main line could be diverted via Nagpur –Balharshah- Vijayawada directions, if feasible. Some trains may be cancelled or may be partially cancelled as per the situation, railway sources informed.
