Banki: One 75 year old Kailash Routray was shot dead and his son Kishore Routray suffered injury in thighs and face when three miscreants allegedly opened fire at them at village Kalipoi under Banki block of Cuttack district on Sunday night.
Preliminary investigation of police showed that previous enmity likely to be the reason behind the incident as Siba Routray, son of deceased Kailash Routray was having rivalry with some residents of the village. Siba had come to his home on the same night.
Meanwhile, three miscreants opened fire at them and allegedly hurled bombs which left Kailash dead and Kishore injured. Baideshwar police are investigating the matter. While the attackers are absconding, Siba is still at large.
