Bhubaneswar: An FIR has been lodged against Ollywood actor Pintu Nanda and two of his associates on Wednesday evening for allegedly misbehaving and abusing a girl at a shooting set in Bhubaneswar.

Based on the complaint lodged by the girl at Nayapali Police Station in Bhubaneswar, Nanda and his two aides have been summoned to appear in person at the police station within 15 days.

The girl, a resident of Cuttack district in her FIR alleged that the Ollywood actor and his associates abused and misbehaved with her. They also threatened her of dire consequences if she reveals the matter to anyone.

“I was scheduled to act with Pintu Nanda in a programme and accordingly, I went to Nayapali. But the shooting could not take place even after waiting for a couple of hours. He offered to help me establish contacts with known persons in the acting industry. He promised me to give me big projects and in return asked me to take care of the director and other persons,” alleged the girl in a video recording released by her.

“However, I refused his offers and was walking out when he started hurling abuses on me. He and his two friends also touched me inappropriately. Later, I somehow managed to escape the spot and lodged the complaint at the police station. I want justice and strict action should be taken against them,” added the girl.

On the other hand, Pintu Nanda refuted the allegations of misbehaving with the girl and said "I did not know and nor did I talk with the girl when a junior artist supplier brought her to the shooting set. No one ever complained against me in the last 25 years of my career."

Further investigation in connection with the case is underway by the Nayapali Police Station.

Meanwhile, actor Pintu Nanda refuted all the allegations and said, "I had not seen the girl before & I saw her in the Police station for the first time. I am told that one of our junior artistes named Manas had brought her to the set once."

"I read the F.I.R, she lodged. There was no such character cited by her vacant in the film. She is trying to malign my public image. Police have told me to record my statement within 15 days and I will do it accordingly. There are CCTV footages available. I will cooperate in the investigation process," Nanda added.
