Bhubaneswar: The Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) on Tuesday sealed Silicon Institute of Technology on the charges of violation of the Standard Operation Procedure (SOP) issued to check Covid-19 spread.

As per preliminary reports, the concerned engineering college was served a show-cause notice on Monday. The college was subsequently sealed after the authorities could not provide any satisfactory reply to the show-cause notice, BMC officials said.

Earlier, a coaching centre at Jayadev Vihar area in the Capital city was sealed after gross violations in observance of the Covid-19 protocols were found during a surprise inspection by the enforcement team on Monday.
