Bhubaneswar: Odisha has urged Ministry of Education to extend time for submission and uploading the Higher secondary marksheets for UG admissions in Delhi University.

In a letter to Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal, Odisha School and Mass Education Minister Samir Ranjan Dash requested to extend time for submission of necessary documents by students of the State till September 7.

It is pertinent to mention here that the Delhi University has fixed August 31 as the last date for submission/ uploading of higher secondary mark sheet for UG admission.

It is apprehended that several students from Odisha might fail to take part in admission process due to non-publication of Plus II Arts results (12th class).

Due to Covid-19 pandemic, there has been a delay in publication of results for Arts stream in Odisha.

“I and my team assure you that the result of +2 Arts stream will be declared by the first week of September, 2020. The students of Odisha (CHSE Board) will not be in a position to submit mark sheet by August 31, 2020 and many meritorious students from of Odisha will not be able to participate in Merit Based Admission for the year 2020, if the last date is not extended,” Dash wrote in his letter.
