Cuttack City Sees 112 New Covid-19 Cases, 95 Recoveries

Cuttack: After a slight decline in the daily Covid cases, the silver city is again witnessing an uptrend since the last two days. Of the 186 new COVID-19 positive cases reported today in Cuttack district, 112 belong to Cuttack Municipal Corporation area. The surge has taken the confirmed virus tally in the city to 13863.

As per CMC, 28 of the fresh cases are from institutional quarantine, 31 positives have been detected from home quarantine, while the rest 53 are local contacts. The bulk of the cases have been reported from Jagatpur, Sikharpur and Nayabazar area.

So far, 61 people have succumbed to the virus in the Cuttack city.

While active case count stands at 872, the total number of recoveries has climbed to 12930 as 95 more positive patients recuperated from the disease here.
