Bhubaneswar: The COVID-19 tally in Bhubaneswar breached the 9000-mark after 354 new cases were reported in the last 24 hours.
It is for the second consecutive day that the Smart City of Bhubaneswar reported 350-plus COVID-19 cases. Earlier on Thursday, 386 people had tested positive for the virus.

Meanwhile,COVID-19 cases also exploded in Odisha as the State reported the highest single-day spike of 3682 cases. Of the new cases, Khordha district reported highest 775 COVID-19 cases, followed by Rayagada (495), Cuttack (369), Mayurbhanj (272) and Ganjam (174) cases.
With new cases, the COVID-19 tally in Bhubaneswar has now reached 9001 including 3535 active cases. While 5419 persons have recovered from the coronavirus infection, the COVID-19 death toll in Bhubaneswar stand at 38.
