Covid-19: Odisha Sets Milestone, Administers Plasma To 1000 Patients
Bhubaneswar: Odisha on Thursday set a milestone by conducting plasma administration to a total of 1,000 patients suffering from Covid-19 in the State.
Congratulating the doctors and health workers for their efforts in the fight the pandemic, the Health and Family Welfare department took to the Twitter and said, “It’s an admirable achievement for the entire team of Plasma Therapy to cross the milestone of administering Plasma to over 1000 patients. Plasma has been made available to any patient in need – both in Government or Private Covid healthcare facility.
“Heartfelt thanks to the plasma donors who have a big role in this achievement! Heartiest Congratulations to the entire team for their relentless efforts daily!,” the department tweeted.
Odisha conducted 51,824 Covid-19 tests including 42,366 Antigen, 9,352 RT-PCR and 106 TruNat tests in the last 24 hours taking the cumulative test figures in the State to 26,19,601.
The State on Thursday reported 13 more deaths and 4,241 new positive cases. With the spike, the death toll and caseload in Odisha mounts to 669 and 1,67,161 respectively. The active case count stands at 36,580, while 1,29,859 infected persons have so far recovered from the disease in Odisha.
