Bhubaneswar: Covid-19 related fatalities continue to rise in Odisha with 13 more persons succumbing to the infections in the last 24 hours, taking the death toll to 669. On the other hand, the State reported 4,241 new positive cases, pushing the tally to 1,67,161.

Of the new cases reported from across 30 districts, 2,502 were reported from quarantine centres and 1,739 were local contact cases.

As per the statistics compiled by the Information and Public Relations department, Khordha reported the maximum number of 647 cases followed by Cuttack (389), Puri (291), Sundargarh (194) and Jaipur (150).

With the spike in COVID-19 cases, the active case count stands at 36,580, while 1,29,859 infected persons have so far recovered from the disease.

According to the Health and Family Welfare department, Khordha and Puri reported four deaths each followed by Gajapati two and one death each in Balasore, Cuttack and Subarnapur.
