Bhubaneswar: COVID-19 graph in the twin cities of Cuttack and Bhubaneswar is now on a rising trend. After witnessing highest single-day spike of 370 cases, Bhubaneswar reported 319 new COVID-19 cases on Thursday. It is for the second consecutive day that the smart city reported over 300 COVID-19 cases.
Of the new 319 cases, 172 have been reported from quarantine centres while 147 are local contact cases.

As per the Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation data, the total COVID-19 tally in the city has now reached 6,396. Active cases in Bhubaneswar now stand at 2,405 with 3,953 recoveries. The COVID-19 death toll in the city is 31.
Apart from Bhubaneswar, 150 new COVID-19 cases were reported from the Cuttack Municipal Corporation (CMC) area. Of the new cases, 36 cases were reported from institutional quarantine, 47 from home quarantine and 67 were local contact cases.

With detection of new positive cases, the total COVID-19 tally in the twin cities of Cuttack and Bhubaneswar has reached 9,224.
