Koraput: With COVID-19 graph rising steeply in Koraput district, particularly in Jeypore, the local administration on Friday announced a four-day shutdown in the municipality area.

As per an official notification issued by Koraput Collector and district magistrate, Madhusudan Mishra, the four day shutdown will come into force from July 24 midnight till July 28 (including weekend shutdown on Saturday and Sunday).

During the enforcement of the shutdown, all the non-essential services will remain suspended while there will be no restriction of movement of individuals and agencies engaged in emergency and other essential services.

As per the data shared by I & PR department, 33 COVID-19 cases were reported from Koraput district in the last 24 hours, among which 10 are from Jeypore municipality area. With this, the COVID-19 tally in the district rose to 414 on Friday.

Below is the list of services allowed and things that are prohibited during the four-day shutdown in Jeypore municipality area:

-Petrol Pumps, LPG distribution, Fire Services, Hospitals, Police, Telecom and Postal services, Sanitation, ATM kiosks to function as usual.

-All medicine stores to remain open.

-All State and Central Government offices to function for discharging emergency duty under COVID-19.
-Road transport on highways allowed.

-Garage, tyre and spare parts shops alongside NH to remain open.

-Banks to operate from 8 AM to 2 PM.

-Hotels allowed to operate upto 30% capacity for providing service to in-house guests only.

-No two/three/four wheelers allowed to ply except on medical/ emergency grounds.

-Marriage (not exceeding 50 guests) and funeral (not exceeding 20 people).
