Bhubaneswar/New Delhi: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will release the UGC NET 2017 ‘Admit Card’ after October 15. Meanwhile, if you are yet to make changes or verify your forms, remember, September 25 is the last date of the correction process.

CBSE would be organizing the examination on November 5 while the results of the same are expected in January 2018.

Candidates who have already paid the fee can log on to the official CBSE NET portal, cbsenet.nic.in, and by accessing the login page, make the requisite changes.

Exam Details

The NET exam comprising three papers will consist of only objective type questions and will be held in two different sessions.

In the first session (09:30 am to 10:45 am), Paper I and Paper 2 exams will be conducted. In Paper 1, students will have to attempt 50 questions out of 60. The question will carry 2 marks each (50 × 2 = 100).

Paper II will be held from 10:45 am to 12:00 Noon consisting of 50 questions, all compulsory (50 × 2 = 100).

In Paper III, students will get 150 minutes to attempt 75 questions all of which are compulsory. The exam will be held at 1:30 pm.

Qualifying percentage of marks for general category students will be 40 per cent in Paper I and II and 50 per cent in Paper III. OBC category students will need to secure 35 per cent marks in Paper I, II and 45 per cent in Paper III.

Similarly, students coming under PH/VH/SC/ST category require to get 35 per cent in Paper I and II and 60 per cent in Paper III.

Meanwhile, UGC will take a decision on the final qualifying criteria for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and eligibility for Lectureship before declaration of result.

Note: No negative marking will be there in the exam papers.
