Ghaziabad: Crime Branch of Ghaziabad police investigating death case of TV journalist Milita Dutta Mandal, today recorded statements of six family members including her husband and mother-in-law.
Inspector of Crime Branch, Rajesh Dwivedi recorded statements of Manav Datta (father), Jayati Dutta (mother), Bapi Dutta (Uncle), Manoj Dutta (Uncle) and Surya Jyoti Mandal (husband) and Santwana Mandal (mother-in-law) continuously for two-and-a-half hours at CO Indirapuram office.
According to Dwivedi, the statements of all members have been kept confidential for corroboration and contradiction purposes.
Milita, a television journalist had died under mysterious circumstances after falling from the 8th?floor of Mahagun Society situated at Vaishali on July 22.
Till now the police have not reached on any conclusion as to whether she was killed and thrown out or had committed suicide by jumping.
Crime branch is probing several angles to unravel the mystery of her death, like presence of hair at the point of her fall, failure of CCTV cameras to capture the footage of her movement, and other incidents, Dwivedi said.
