Jeypore: In a bizarre incident, a 40-year old man and his two children were hacked to death by unidentified miscreants on Thursday night at Pampudi village under Jeypore sadar police limits in Koraput district.
The bodies of the children-Kishore Behera and Anita Behera- were found lying in a pool of blood while their father – Tirupati’s body was seen hanging with multiple cut marks. Police suspected that the assailants hanged his body after attacking with a sharp weapon.
Tirupati was rushed to nearest hospital where doctors declared him brought dead. However, Tirupati’s wife was absent in the home during the ghastly crime as she was in her father’s home to attend a function.
The reason of the crime is yet to be known. A team of police led by Koraput SP reached the spot and started investigation.
