Salipur: Congress leader and local legislator Prakash Behera today expressed resentment for not being invited to a function marking 34th anniversary of the Judicial First Class Magistrate court here.
Behera asked while MLA of neighbour Mahanga constituency and Health Minister Pratap Jena were solicited to attend the function, why an invitation has not been sent to him.
“As per the constitutional setup, a local legislator should be invited to any government function in an assembly constituency,” Behera pointed out.
Among others, DGP KB Singh was also invited to the Court’s anniversary function.
Meanwhile, the local bar association said this has not been done with any political motive and expressed sadness over the matter.
