One more child dies of Encephalitis in Malkangiri, toll 61 in 42 days

Malkangiri: The death due to Japanese Encephalitis in Malkangiri district went up to 61 with the death of one more child this morning.

Report said a two-year-old boy Asit Madkami of Namakonda village of Kalimela block was under treatment at the district headquarters hospital. However, his condition suddenly deteriorated today. Despite the efforts of the doctors, the boy died.

With this, the Encephalitis death toll in the district has gone up to 61 in 42 days.

Notably, a five-year-old boy Ganesh Bishoyee of Majhiguda village under Mathili block and a three-year-old girl child of Bhajaguda village under Padia block had died of Encephalitis at the district headquarters hospital yesterday.
