Bhubaneswar: With Prime Minister Narendra Modi scheduled to arrive in Odisha tomorrow, BJP's national spokesperson, Sambit Patra today reiterated that the saffron party is serious about the development of the State.
"Even after winning only a single Lok Sabha seat from Odisha, the State has now got two union ministers and it shows the affection of the PM and party chief Amit Shah towards Odisha," Patra said.
Highlighting the achievements of the BJP-led central government in the past four years, Patra at a press conference in Bhubaneswar said "The journey over the last four years has been the one from 'disbelief to belief.' This last four years have been a remarkable period of achievement."
Speaking on the Modi's visit, Patra stated "To mark the completion of four years, PM would present his report card that is being eagerly awaited by everyone. It is a matter of great pride that the PM has selected Odisha speak on his achievements," Patra said.
The Narendra Modi-led government in the last four years has managed to change the face of the country after taking over from a massive corrupt regime. With that we have managed to win the hearts of crores of Indians

Speaking on some highlights of the report card that the PM would present before the public tomorrow in Cuttack, Patra said, "The GDP has jumped from 4.8 to 7.4 percent in a very short span of time. Even after 70 years of independence, only half of our population was in covered by the formal banking system. But with the revolutionary 'Jan Dhan Yojana,' which is considered as the biggest financial inclusion program, we have created a huge difference. As per an IMF report, in the last four years, 55 percent of total bank accounts opened globally were from India.
Meanwhile, BJD continued to target the BJP and at the valedictory ceremony of its Mahanadi Suraksha Abhiyan at Paradip, the ruling-party of Odisha criticized the Central government’s silence on the ongoing Mahanadi River water dispute with Chhattisgarh.
BJD leader & RS MP, Prasanna Acharya said "Narendra Modi-led government has neglected Odisha and Mahanadi River dispute is a glaring example. But the clarion call given by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has led to a revolt among the Odias which Modiji cannot stop."
"The PM is coming to speak his 'Mann Ki Baat.' Our sincere request to him is that tomorrow when he comes to Odisha, he should at least listen to the 'Maan Ki Baat' of 4.5 crore Odias," Acharya said.
