Not aware of MP joining BJP, says Baijayant's office

Bhubaneswar: As national English news channel ‘Republic’ telecast a report speculating that BJD MP Baijayant Panda is likely to join the BJP soon, the parliamentarian’s office refuted the news saying it is unaware of any such development.

Baijayant’s Political secretary in reply to the reports said “We are not aware of any such development. Moreover honourable MP Baijayant "Jay" Panda is presently in the UK as an international election observer on behalf of the Commonwealth Parliamentary mission.”

‘Republic’ channel, in its ‘super exclusive’ report had speculated that Baijayant could quit BJD soon and join the saffron party which could prove to be a major setback to BJD supremo and Odisha chief minister Naveen Patnaik.
