Bhubaneswar: Farmers are now keeping an anxious eye on the skies as a well marked low pressure is predicted to trigger heavy rain in several parts of Odisha from tomorrow.

Worried over the fate of paddy crops, farmers in several parts of Odisha are now forced to harvest prematurely. The Agriculture department has also initiated a drive to create awareness through public address systems in Khurda’s Banapur and Bolgarh asking farmers to take adequate measures to protect crops by shifting it to safer places.
