Bhubaneswar: State Finance Minister Shashi Bhushan Behera, who is in New Delhi to attend the Standing Committee meeting of the Inter-State Council (ISC), on Friday said infrastructure development and use of natural resources in Odisha will be the focus of discussion at the meet.
Speaking to the media ahead of the start of the meeting, Behera said, “We shall be discussing on different topics in the meeting including infrastructure development and use of natural resources and how best our State can benefit.”
Besides Behera, who is representing Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, Finance Secretary Tuhin Kanta Pande and Home Secretary Asit Kumar Tripathy are also attending the meeting.
Chief Ministers from different states are attending the meeting that will be chaired by Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh at Vigyan Bhawan.
The standing committee meetings are held twice a year and aim to promote harmonious Centre-state relations.
