Doctor attacked by miscreants in Nuapada CHC

Nuapada: A doctor was allegedly attacked by two unidentified youths inside a Community Health Centre (CHC) situated under Komna police limits of Nuapada district on Sunday.

According to sources, the two youths entered the CHC in the garb of patients and later attacked the doctor.

The Odisha Medical Services Association (OMSA) branch of Nuapada and Indian Medical Services Association have condemned the incident and demanded immediate arrest of the miscreants.

“It is an unfortunate incident. On behalf of OMSA and IMS association the matter has been taken seriously as such incidents discourage our doctors from performing their duty. It also disrupts the medical service at the center,” said ADMO of Nuapada, Dr Ramesh Chandra Pathak.

Meanwhile, a case was registered at Komna police station. The miscreants will be nabbed soon, assured in-charge police officials.

“A case has been registered and investigation has begun. Soon the culprits will be caught,” said IIC of Komna, Tapan Kumar Mahananda.
