Bhubaneswar: Questioning why no action has been taken yet against Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) mayor Ananta Narayan Jena for his alleged involvement in the sex tape, Congress on Tuesday targeted chief minister Naveen Patnaik and threatened to hurl eggs at him.

Alleging slow pace of investigation into the sex slur allegation against the BMC mayor, National Students Union of India (NSUI) State President Itish Pradhan, said, “Where ever the chief minister will visit for campaigning for the ensuing panchayat polls, our patry members will hurl eggs at him.”

“We have asked all the 30 district presidents of student wing of Congress and members of 147 election constituencies to attack the chief minister with eggs,” Pradhan added.

Reacting on the development president of the students' wing of BJD Byomkesh Ray, said, “We will give befitting reply to Congress.”

“Earlier, the student wing of Congress had also announced to attack the CM with eggs but they were forced to stop the act after being rejected and thrashed by the people. The student wing of Congress should first focus on its stability, rather targeting the CM with eggs,” Ray added.
