Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister on Saturday left for New Delhi on two-day visit to attend the centenary celebrations of his father, former chief minister and legendary leader Biju Patnaik scheduled today.
Official sources said the centenary celebrations would be held at Jawaharlal Nehru stadium in the afternoon in which Vice President Hamid Ansari and former Supreme Court Justice AK Patnaik will be the guests of honour.
The event is jointly organised by the Biju Patnaik Birth Centenary Celebration Committee, New Delhi and New Delhi Odia Association.
Apart from this, the chief minister will attend some official programmes, the sources added.
