Bhubaneswar: Odia girl Padmalaya Nanda, the finalist of Little Miss Universe beauty pageant, met Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Wednesday seeking his blessings before leaving for the competition to be held in Georgia in Europe commencing on May 31 to June 6.
Padmayala is one among the 16 contestants selected from around the world. She will be leaving for Georgia on May 25.
"I am very glad that he wished me for my future. I am very confident and fully prepared for the final event. It is just like a festival based on art, culture, style, intelligence and talent. It is a pageant where you can promote your talent and culture", Nanda said after meeting Patnaik.
Padmalaya has requested to vote for her on Facebook starting from June 1 to June 4 to help her win the Little Miss Universe title.
Prior to meeting Patnaik, she had also paid a visit to Governor SC Jamir at Raj Bhawan on Wednesday morning.
