Puri: With seven days away for the annual Rath Yatra, CM Naveen Patnaik on Sunday reviewed the preparedness for the socio-religious event at the last coordination committee meeting at Puri municipality conference hall.
The issue of touching deities on the chariots featured in the meeting apart from the subjects of health, sanitation, communication, electricity, drainage system and security.
Construction of chariots was also placed in the subjects of discussion. Sri Jagannath temple administrator Arvind Padhee, Law minister Arun Sahu, Puri MP & MLA, collector, representatives of servitors' association attended the meeting. Senior officials of tourism, health, supply and energy departments also took part in the discussion.
