Malkangiri/Bhubaneswar: Mystery still shrouds the disappearance of a tribal student of Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences (KISS) in Bhubaneswar while the family continues to await his return since the last three years.
Rama Chandra of Dantipara at Bondaghati in Malkangiri district had came to KISS to pursue higher education after completing primary schooling. But since 2015, he has been missing and no one is aware of his whereabouts till now.
While the family members allege that Rama Chandra didn't return home from the school, the institute authorities claim that the student had gone home during the summer vacations and didn't return.
"I visited KISS three times but didn't find him there. When I asked the school staff, they said he was not there. We are helpless now," said the uncle of missing student, Sukura Mundra.
"The institute authorities didn't clearly inform us about my brother's whereabouts. We have been waiting for him since long. I request the government to take necessary action to search him," said Babita Mundra, sister of Rama Chandra.
CEO of KISS, Pramod Kumar Patra said that the family never informed them about their missing child. "After the summer vacations, he didn't return to the school; when we asked his friends, we got to know that he had some spat with his mother following which he left home," Patra added.
"We have no information regarding the missing child. Even the family has not informed us," said project chief of Bonda Development Agency, Damodar Mallick.
