Bhubaneswar Reports 319 New COVID19 Cases, 315 Recoveries

Bhubaneswar: With 319 new COVID19 positive cases getting detected in the last 24 hours, the total cases in the city rose to 23,549, according to the data shared by the Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC).

Of the fresh cases, a whopping 227were local contact cases while the remaining 92 were quarantine cases, the civic body said in a tweet.

Bhubaneswar also registered 315 recoveries in the last 24 hours. Total recoveries in the city currently stand at 19, 888.

Earlier in the day, Odisha recorded 2617 fresh coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours, taking the total infection tally to 2,35,330.

Khordha reported the maximum of 506 new COVID-19 cases followed by Bargarh with 148 positives.

The state also reported 17 causalities in a day, taking the total death toll to 924.
