Bhubaneswar: The COVID-19 tally in Bhubaneswar reached 25,464 on Sunday after 290 new cases were reported in the last 24 hours.

Of the total 290 new COVID cases, 211 are local contact cases while 79 are quarantine cases, informed Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC).

The State capital also witnessed recoveries of 352 patients from the disease, taking the total number of cured persons to 21,897.

While the COVID-19 active cases in Bhubaneswar stand at 3429, the death toll due to coronavirus infections mounted to 117.

Earlier, 2546 fresh cases were detected in the last 24 hours from different parts of Odisha. Khordha district reported the maximum 410 new cases today followed by Angul (208 cases), Sundergarh (161), Cuttack (134), Mayurbhanj (120) and Balasore (103).
