Bhubaneswar Reports 271 New COVID19 Cases, 313 Recoveries

Bhubaneswar: With 271 new COVID19 positive cases getting detected in the last 24 hours, the total cases in the city rose to 24,735 according to the data shared by the Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC).

Of the fresh cases, a whopping 203 were local contact cases while the remaining 68 were quarantine cases, the civic body said in a tweet.

Bhubaneswar also registered 313 recoveries in the last 24 hours. Total recoveries in the city currently stand at 22,210.

Earlier in the day, with the daily coronavirus cases starting to show a declining trend since last few days, the focus seems to have now shifted to the decline in the number of tests. Odisha reported 2423 Covid-19 cases in the past 24 hours, pushing the virus tally to 254662 on Monday. Of the new cases, 1417 patients are from quarantine, while 1006 are local contact cases.
