Bhubaneswar: With 233 new COVID-19 positive cases getting detected in the last 24 hours, the total cases in the capital City rose to 27,228, according to the data shared by the Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC).

Of the fresh cases, a whopping 182 were local contact cases while the remaining 51 were quarantine cases, the civic body said in a tweet.

Bhubaneswar also registered 313 recoveries in the last 24 hours. Total recoveries in the city currently stand at 24, 143.
As far as Odisha is concerned, Covid-19 cases continue to show a declining trend with the State registering 2019 new infections in the last 24 hours, 177 lesser than the figures registered on Saturday & lowest in over a month and half.

The total infections in the State have now climbed to 2,68,364 today. Active cases have risen to 22,949 while 2,44,227 are recoveries so far, data released by the State I& PR Department said.
