Bhubaneswar: It seems there is no respite from the grueling heat waves as mercury in Bhubaneswar touched 46.7 degree Celsius on Tuesday, breaking the 40-yr old record measured on May 22, 1972, local meteorological department said.

Similarly on Tuesday residents of coastal district Balasore experienced the hottest summer day with mercury reaching 46 degree Celsius, that broke the 10-year old record.
