Cuttack: In a swift action, PCR staff on Sunday saved a woman while she was attempting to jump into Kathajodi river from Belview bridge.
As per reports, the woman from nearby Imampada area was seen moving on the bridge. A group of commuters, suspecting something wrong, alerted nearby Lalbag police station.
Within no time, a PCR van reached the spot and rescued the woman. The incident occurred at around 10:30 am today.
“The woman was married for the last six years and it appears that there was some disturbance in her house. After rescuing her, she was counselled and later handed over to her family,” said a senior police official.
