Bhubaneswar: A fresh low pressure area is very likely to form over north Andaman Sea and adjoining east Central Bay of Bengal (BOB) around October 9, informed India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Sunday.

The low pressure system is likely to move north-westwards towards north Andhra Pradesh and Odisha coasts with gradual intensification into a Depression during subsequent two days, tweeted the weather forecasting agency.

As per the latest forecast, several parts of Odisha and Andhra Pradesh will experience enhanced rainfall activity between October 11 and 13 under the influence of the system.

The weather department has predicted that moderate thunderstorm with lightning at isolated places is also likely to occur over north Tamil Nadu, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Odisha, Chhattisgarh, Gangetic West Bengal, Jharkhand and Assam & Meghalaya during next 12 hours.

At present, the Low Pressure Area lies over northwest Bay of Bengal & adjoining Odisha coast. Under its influence, fairly widespread to widespread rainfall very likely over Odisha, Bihar, Jharkhand, Gangetic West Bengal during next four days.
