Bhubaneswar: MBBS student, Vineetha K of AIIMS-Bhubaneswar has emerged topper in the All India AIIMS-PG Entrance Examination, the results of which were announced on Friday. Vineetha K has secured the all India rank-1 with a 100 percentile score.

As many as 29 students from all the AIIMS are in the top 100 including six students each from AIIMS-Bhubaneswar, Jodhpur and Rishikesh, 5 students from AIIMS-Bhopal, 4 students from AIIMS-New Delhi and 1 student each from AIIMS Patna and Raipur.

Official sources said 4,335 students have been given ranks in this examination with 74 students from AIIMS- Bhubaneswar securing ranks in the examination.

Terming it as a proud moment, AIIMS-Bhubaneswar director Geetanjali Batmanbane congratulated the students for their superb performance in the PG entrance examination.

Over 33,000 candidates had appeared for the AIIMS PG entrance exam 2020. The entrance examination was conducted as per the protocol issued to curb the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The exam was conducted on June 11 for admissions into AIIMS-Delhi, Bhopal, Bhubaneshwar, Jodhpur, Nagpur, Patna, Rishikesh and Raipur. The mock round of online subject allocation/ Counselling is expected to begin from June 21, 2020 followed by subsequent rounds of online subject allocation/counselling, sources said.
