After Cuttack, No Bali Yatra In Bhubaneswar This Year Due To COVID-19

Bhubaneswar: After Cuttack, the much awaited Bali Yatra mahotsav in Bhubaneswar has been cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic situation.

The decision was taken after a detailed discussion of the organising committee members with Twin City Police Commissioner, Sudhanshu Sarangi on Monday.

Many believe that the decision has been appropriately taken as there is every possibility that the COVID-19 situation would assume serious proportions in view of huge congregation of people during the maritime festival.

Earlier on October 31, the Cuttack district administration had decided not to organise the historic maritime festival, Bali Yatra this year.
