Bhubaneswar: Amid demands for Central Investigating Of India (CBI) enquiry into the mysterious death of social activist Aditya Dash, his wife Bidyashree on Friday moved the Orissa High Court seeking the central agency’s intervention into the case.

Bidyashree along with Aditya’s parents on Friday approached the High Court and submitted a petition in this regard.

“Though the State Crime Branch is investigating the case, the probe is going on very slow and we are yet to get any result. Therefore, me and my in-laws have prayed before the High Court to direct for a CBI investigation in the case,” Bidyashree spoke to OTV.

A day ago, Bidyashree underwent lie-detection test by Odisha Police Crime Branch which is probing the death case of the social activist after it took over the investigation from the Government Railway Police (GRP).

Bidyashree’s polygraph test was conducted at the State Forensic Science Laboratory in Bhubaneswar. The Crime Branch had reportedly prepared a special questionnaire of around 70 questions and the sleuths quizzed her for more than five hours on Thursday.

In a related development, three members- Papu, Bikash and Deepu of Bhubaneswar based NGO- People for Seva which was founded by Aditya, are undergoing polygraph test today.

On July 7, Aditya’s body was found along the railway tracks near Lingaraj Railway Station in Bhubaneswar. On July 30, the Director General of Odisha Police ordered the Crime Branch to take over the investigation of Aditya Dash’s death case.
