Bhubaneswar: Two weeks have passed since motivational speaker and social activist Aditya Dash was found dead on railway tracks, but the police are yet to solve the mystery behind his death.

A four-member team of the government railway police (GRP) today questioned Dash’s mother-in-law and brother-in-law at their residence at Rajendra Nagar in Cuttack. They were questioned for about an hour regarding the marital relationship between Dash and his wife Bidyashree and whether they are aware of any possible reason behind his death, informed sources.

GRP ASI Narendra Prasad Jena said, “The four-member team questioned Dash’s in-laws for about an hour to find out details regarding some aspects of the case.”

Earlier, the social activist’s parents and wife were questioned by the police in connection with his death. A special team led by GRP DSP had visited their Sunderpada residence and conducted marathon questioning for over three hours.

However, the exact reason behind the death of the social activist, whose body was recovered from the railway tracks near Lingaraj Station on July 7, 2020, is yet to be established.

On the other hand, the claims of the loco pilot of Purushottam Express that the train did not hit Aditya have further intensified the mystery.

The GRP has reportedly collected the footage of two CCTV cameras installed just 200 meters away from Lingaraj Railway Station and examining them.
