Bhubaneswar: Odisha on Friday reported its highest single-day COVID-19 recovery with a record 1810 positive patients recuperating from coronavirus infection in the last 24 hours.
As per Health and Family Welfare Department, a maximum of 700 COVID-19 positives recovered from Ganjam district, followed by 202 from Khordha, Cuttack (147), Gajapati (136), Dhenkanal (116) and Sundergarh (106).
With this, the total COVID-19 recoveries in Odisha reached 28697.

Earlier, Odisha registered the highest single-day spike of 1833 COVID-19 cases pushing the virus tally to 42550 today. Of the fresh cases reported from 29 districts of the State, 1118 cases were detected from quarantine centres while 715 are local contact cases.
The maximum 298 cases were reported from Khurda district followed by Ganjam with 279 cases, Rayagada (152), Cuttack (124) and Sundergarh (110).
