Bhubaneswar: 4 Of A Family Killed In Road Mishap At Chandrasekharpur

Bhubaneswar: Four persons of a family including two women were killed and two others sustained serious injuries in a tragic head-on collision between two cars near Nalco chhak in Chandrasekharpur late Wednesday night.

While one of the deceased has been identified as Barada Prassana Parida, the identity of three others is yet to be ascertained. All the deceased are residents of Niladri Vihar of Bhubaneswar.

According to sources, the accident took place when the car carrying six persons from Balasore to Bhubaneswar hit another SUV coming from the opposite side towards Jaydev Vihar.

Sources said, some locals with the help of police rescued the victims trapped in the ill-fated vehicles and admitted them to hospital. Four of them were declared dead while the condition of two others is stated to be critical at Capital Hospital.

Police have launched a probe into the incident.
