Berhampur: Unidentified miscreants killed a woman and decamped with huge quantity of gold ornaments in broad day light at Aska, about 40 km from here on Tuesday, police said.
The deceased was identified as Babita Achary (33), wife of a goldsmith. The miscreants stabbed her to death when her husband was not present in the house, police said.
Police found the body lying in a pool of blood in the house and investigation was on, they said adding no arrest had been made in this connection as yet.
