Thunderstorms, 30-40 kmph wind to prevail in Odisha districts; IMD issues yellow alert

IMD Issues Thunderstorm Alert For Odisha Districts; 30-40 Kmph Surface Wind Likely

A cyclonic circulation lies over north Bihar and a trough runs from this cyclonic circulation to north Odisha; and another cyclonic circulation lies over northeast Assam and neighbourhood in the lower tropospheric levels, informed the India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Friday.

Several parts of Odisha are currently experiencing rainfall triggered by thunderstorm activities over the past several days. This has led to a considerable drop in the maximum temperature in different parts of the state. As per the IMD, the thunderstorm activities are likely to continue in Odisha for the next few days.
