IMD Issues Yellow Warning For Odisha Districts
Several parts of Odisha have faced the wrath of thunderstorm activities in the past few days. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Sunday predicted that such thunderstorm activities will continue for another two days in Odisha.
The IMD has issued a yellow warning for thunderstorm with lightning in several districts of the state in the next two days.
Moreover, the maximum or day temperature is all set to rise again in Odisha. As per the IMD’s forecast, there will be a gradual rise in the maximum temperature by 4 to 6 °C during next 4-5 days over the districts of Odisha.

Day 1 (Valid upto 0830 hrs IST of 24.03.2025): Light to moderate rain or thundershower is very likely to occur at a few places over the districts of North Coastal Odisha, Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Angul, Dhenkanal.
Yellow Warning: Thunderstorm with lightning with gusty surface wind speed reaching 30-40 kmph very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Jagatsinghpur, Kendrapada, Cuttack, Khurda, Puri, Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Angul, Dhenkanal.
Day 2 (Valid from 0830 hrs IST of 24.03.2025 to 0830 hrs IST of 25.03.2025): Light rain very likely to at one or two places over the districts of Coastal Odisha.
Yellow Warning: Thunderstorm with lightning is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapada, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur.
