Several parts of Odisha will experience moderate rainfall and thunderstorm activities till November 14, predicted the India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Tuesday.

Though the overall weather will remain dry for the next 24 hours, several districts will experience light to moderate rainfall subsequently till the end of this week. As per IMD, a low pressure area has formed over southeast Bay of Bengal under the influence of a cyclonic circulation.

The system is likely to concentrate into a depression over southwest and adjoining southeast Bay of Bengal during the next 36 hours. It is likely to move west–northwest-wards and reach near north Tamil Nadu coast by the early morning of November 11, 2021.

Day-2 (valid from 0830 hrs IST of 10.11.2021 up to 0830 hrs IST of 11.11.2021)

Light to moderate rain or thundershower is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Ganjam, Gajapati, Koraput and Rayagada.

Day-3 (valid from 0830 hrs IST of 11.11.2021up to 0830 hrs IST of 12.11.2021)

Light to moderate rain or thundershower is very likely to occur at a few places over the districts of Gajapati, Rayagada, Koraput, Ganjam, Malkangiri and at one or two places over the district of Puri, Khordha, Nayagarh, Kandhamal, Nabarangpur and Kalahandi.

Day-4 (valid from 0830 hrs IST of 12.11.2021 up to 0830 hrs IST of 13.11.2021)

Light to moderate rain or thundershower is very likely to occur at many places over the districts of Gajapati, Ganjam, Kandhamal, Rayagada, Koraput, Malkangiri and at a few places over the districts of Khurda, Puri, Nayagarh, Nabarangpur, Kalahandi and at one or two places over the district of Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Nuapada and Bolangir.

Day-5 (valid from 0830 hrs IST of 13.11.2021 up to 0830 hrs IST of 14.11.2021)

Light to moderate rain or thundershower is very likely to occur at few places over the districts of Kandhamal, Kalahandi, Nabarangpur, Nuapada, Bolangir and at one or two places over the district of Ganjam, Gajapati, Rayagada, Malkangiri and Koraput.
