Rain, fog alert for several Odisha districts; IMD predicts fall in minimum temperature

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Monday predicted rain and fog in several parts of Odisha in the next 48 hours. Light rain or Thundershower is likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Malkangiri, Koraput, Nabarangapur, Nuapada, Kalahandi, Bargarh in the next 24 hours.

As per IMD, one or two places in districts of south interior Odisha experienced light rainfall activities in the past 24 Dense fog was reported at one or two places over the district of Cuttack and shallow fog over one or two places over the districts of Kalahandi and Angul in the past 24 hours.

Light rain or thundershower very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Malkangiri, Koraput, Nabarangapur, Nuapada, Kalahandi, Bargarh.

Shallow to moderate fog very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Koraput, Rayagada, Gajapati, Ganjam, Kandhamal, Kalahandi.

Day-2 (valid from 0830 hrs IST of 13.12.2022 up to 0830 hrs IST of 14.12.2022)

Shallow to moderate fog very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Bolangir, Sonepur, Boudh, Angul, Dhenkanal, Cuttack.

Day-3 (valid from 0830 hrs IST of 14.12.2022 up to 0830 hrs IST of 15.12.2022)

Dry weather most likely to prevail over the districts of Odisha.

IMD informed that there will be no change in the minimum temperature (Night temperature) during next 24 hours in different parts of Odisha. However, the minimum temperature is likely to gradually fall by 2-4 degree Celsius at many places over the districts of Odisha in subsequent four days.
