IMD predicts thunderstorms with lightning in these Odisha districts till October 20

IMD today informed that a fresh upper air cyclonic circulation is very likely to form over the North Andaman Sea around October 20. Under its influence, a low-pressure area is likely to form over the Central Bay of Bengal around October 22.

Thunderstorm Alert For Odisha Districts

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Friday predicted that several parts of Odisha are likely to experience rainfall activities in the next 48 hours.
Moreover, some parts of the state are likely to experience thunderstorms with lightning as well. A yellow warning has been issued by the IMD in this regard.

IMD today informed that a fresh upper air cyclonic circulation is very likely to form over the North Andaman Sea around October 20. Under its influence, a low-pressure area is likely to form over the Central Bay of Bengal around October 22.

The system is likely to move northwestwards and intensify further into a depression by October 24, 2024.
