IMD predicts rise in minimum temperature by 2 to 3 degrees in Odisha

It is pertinent to mention here that several parts of Odisha experienced untimely rains triggered by thunderstorm activities recently. The light to moderate rainfall has considerably brought the temperature down in several parts of the state.

IMD predicts rise in minimum temperature by 2 to 3 degrees in Odisha

The trough in westerlies from Gangetic West Bengal to south Chhattisgarh across Odisha has become less marked. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Monday informed that there is no possibility of thunderstorm-induced rainfall activities in Odisha in the coming days.

It is pertinent to mention here that several parts of Odisha experienced untimely rains triggered by thunderstorm activities recently. The light to moderate rainfall has considerably brought the temperature down in several parts of the state.

As per IMD, light to moderate rainfall occurred at one or two places over the districts of North Odisha and dry weather prevailed over the districts of South Odisha in the past 24 hours. Similarly, dense fog was also reported at one or two places over the district of Ganjam, and moderate fog in some places in Bhadrak district.

Forecast For Odisha

The IMD on Monday informed that the overall weather in Odisha will be dry till March 3, 2025. As per the forecast, there will be no change in the minimum temperature in the state for the next three to four days.

Warmer Days Ahead

As per the IMD’s forecast, there will be no major change in the night temperature in Odisha this week. 

However, the people in Odisha may experience warmer nights as the minimum temperature is expected to rise by 2 to 3 degrees, subsequently.
