The heat is back in Odisha with mercury soaring each passing day. The impact is also being felt on people who are now finding it hard to cope with the scorching conditions. However, no respite seems to be on cards as the India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Monday predicted a further rise in maximum or day temperature in some districts of Odisha in coming days.
As per IMD’s latest forecast, the maximum temperature is very likely to gradually rise by 2 to 4 degrees C during the next five days over the districts of Odisha.
The Maximum temperatures are very likely to increase further and cross 40 degrees C and above over isolated places in Boudh, Sonepur, Bolangir, Kalahandi, Sambalpur, and Jharsuguda districts during the next five days, said IMD.
A yellow warning has also been issued for several districts by the IMD.
