IMD issues yellow warning for dense fog in Odisha districts

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Wednesday informed that there is no forecast or warning relating to thunderstorm activities in the state. However, a yellow warning has been issued for dense fog in some districts of the state.

Fog Alert For Odisha Districts

After witnessing a brief spell of rain triggered by thunderstorm activities, the people in Odisha are now experiencing dry weather conditions.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Wednesday informed that there is no forecast or warning relating to thunderstorm activities in the state. However, a yellow warning has been issued for dense fog in some districts of the state.

As far as the minimum temperature is concerned, the IMD informed that there is no possibility in major change in the next two days. However, the minimum temperature is likely to rise gradually by 2 to 3 degrees thereafter, said IMD.

Weather Forecast

Day 1 (Valid upto 0830 hrs IST of 27.02.2025): Shallow to moderate fog is very likely to occur during early morning hours at one or two places over the districts of Cuttack, Khordha, Jagatsinghpur, Bhadrak, Ganjam.

Yellow Warning: Dense fog is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Jagatsinghpur, Bhadrak.

Day 2 (Valid from 0830 hrs IST of 27.02.2025 to 0830 hrs IST of 28.02.2025): Shallow to moderate fog very likely to occur during early morning hours at one or two places over the districts of Dhenkanal, Jajpur, Gajapati, Cuttack, Khordha, Jagatsinghpur, Bhadrak, Ganjam.

Yellow Warning: Dense fog very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Jagatsinghpur, Ganjam.
