The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Saturday predicted cold wave conditions in isolated pockets over Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, western parts of Haryana and north Rajasthan during the next four days.

As per IMD, a gradual fall in the minimum temperature by 2 to 4 degree Celsius is likely over many parts of interior Maharashtra, south Gujarat region and south Madhya Pradesh during the next three days and no significant change thereafter.

“No significant change in minimum temperatures likely over remaining parts of the country during next 4-5 days,” said IMD.

Depression over Westcentral Arabian Sea

Yesterday’s Deep Depression over Eastcentral and adjoining Westcentral Arabian Sea weakened into Depression. It is very likely to move nearly westwards and weaken into a well marked low pressure area during the next 12 hours.

Low pressure area over Southeast Bay of Bengal & adjoining East Equatorial Indian Ocean

The Low Pressure Area over Southeast Bay of Bengal and adjoining East Equatorial Indian Ocean persists over the same region today. It is likely to move westwards over South Bay of Bengal during next 48 hours.
